Yom Tov and simchos should be
joyful, not a financial strain.

Working families budget carefully and live within their means. They shouldn't have to choose between keeping Yom Tov the way it should be kept, or marking a simcha the way it deserves to be marked, and staying on their feet financially. We quietly make sure they don't have to.

Who We Serve

The family that does everything right, until life doesn't.

There is a family in Lakewood that you probably know. They work hard and stretch every dollar. They don't take vacations or live beyond their means, they simply try to cover the basics and give their children what they need.

And then, a child becomes a bar mitzvah. A daughter gets engaged. Pesach arrives with its full weight of expenses. Or a medical crisis comes and the carefully balanced budget simply falls apart.

This is the family Oizer V'Soimech, Kupas Binyomin Zev was built for. The modest, careful family that, without support, would quietly fall into debt just to get through a Yom Tov or mark a milestone.

Our Principles

Every distribution is handled by a small, trusted committee of community members who know their neighbors. No bureaucracy, no lengthy process, just people helping people, with complete discretion.

Every dollar donated goes directly to the families it serves. Guided by leading Rabbonim, with full accountability to the community.

Total Privacy
Every family's situation is kept completely confidential.
Rapid Response
Before Yom Tov. Before a simcha. When needed, not after.
Full Dignity
Support is given in a way that honors the family completely.
Trusted Oversight
Guided by respected Rabbonim and community leaders.

Working families carry enormous weight with quiet dignity. Our job is to make sure that Yom Tov and simchos are never shadowed by debt. Every Yiddishe simcha deserves to be pure.

How We Help

The Causes We Stand Behind

Life brings joy and weight in equal measure. We are present at both ends, keeping joyful moments joyful and difficult ones from becoming impossible.

Yom Tov Assistance
Pesach, Sukkos, Rosh Hashana, every Yom Tov demands the most of a family's budget. We distribute before every chag so no table goes empty and no simchas Yom Tov is stolen by financial worry.
Pre-Chag
Every Yom Tov, every year
Simchos Support
A chasunah, bar mitzvah, bris, milestones every family wants to mark with dignity. For a family living modestly, covering even the basics of a simcha can stretch well beyond what they have. We quietly bridge that gap, so the simcha can happen simply and beautifully.
Joyful
Simply and with dignity
Illness & Medical
When illness enters a home, parnassah stops and expenses multiply. We provide grocery and household support and monthly stipends so families can focus on healing rather than on how they'll manage the month.
Ongoing
For as long as needed
Parnassah & Emergency
Job loss, a business setback, an unexpected crisis, when parnassah falters, families that live close to the edge can spiral quickly. We provide rapid relief to stabilize a household before the damage cascades.
Urgent
Rapid-response relief
Housing & Household
Rent, utilities, and household essentials, the basics of keeping a home running. We help when the numbers simply don't work, ensuring families stay on their feet with stability and without shame.
Practical
Tangible, real relief

About Us

A fund built on trust, discretion, and a genuine love for our community.

Oizer V'Soimech, Kupas Binyomin Zev was established to serve the working families of the greater Lakewood area, helping them navigate the financial weight of Yom Tov, simchos, illness, and life's unexpected moments — without ever compromising their dignity.

The organization is named in loving memory of Reb Binyomin Zev Koppel ז"ל, the beloved Rosh HaKohol of the Adass Israel Congregation in Melbourne, whose life was defined by quiet, selfless chesed. His family established this Kupah in his honor so that his legacy of giving would continue to touch lives in Lakewood. Read his story →
